Harriet Lloyd works mainly on paper with a combination of water colour, gouache, ink and collage. The decorative and illustrative pictures with inspiration drawn from legend and fairy tale are also the result of the artist’s fascination with the pattern and repetition found in architecture, objects, interiors and exteriors. Images are combined to provoke a narrative so while the resulting pictures are illustrative the viewer is left to determine the story for themselves.
